Great things are happening at Canadian Mental Health Association Alberta Northwest Region. As 2020 approaches we are preparing to celebrate our 25th year serving the Peace Country.

In a partnership with the City of Grande Prairie, construction of a 32 unit building beside Willow Place for additional low-income supportive housing, including multiple short term transitional suites or safe living environment is set to proceed in the spring 2020. In the meantime, Willow Place has made available a transitional suite or safe living environment for those who have completed Detox and are awaiting treatment.

CMHA has purchased a new Building to house our Mobile Addiction Outreach program and Housing First program.

CMHA will be introducing Recovery College, that includes PTSI support and a resident counsellor and will be available to the community in the newly purchased building.

We will be launching an exciting innovative fundraising opportunity that the community can get involved in to show their support for CMHA ANWR.

We continue to support our community through the HUB at Willow Place and with the SPD Program that focuses on support for individuals with disabilities.

Congratulations to our new President of the board, Glenn Penner and the addition of a new executive role Operations Manager Lisa St Julien who will be supporting the Executive Director Randy Arsenault with the day to day operations of the organization.

We would not be able to be successful without the amazing support of our community. We are looking forward to serving the GP region for years to come.
