Another Donation has come through in the form of $1000 from the Canadian School of Hydrocarbon Measurement in Grande Prairie! Grande Prairie CsHm is a not for profit school, holding annual meetings in the GP area. It is designed to provide a meeting space for industry leaders to display products and share technical information about the handling and measurement of hydrocarbons. Each year since their first meeting, GP CsHm has taken their profits and donated them to organizations like ours. We’re so thankful that they have decided to donate to us this year, and For more information on the school and their programs and how you can get involved with them, visit their website!
Mental illness can affect people of all backgrounds and is known to affect 1 in 5 Canadians annually. As we learn more, the conversation about mental health is continuously growing. We at CMHA are so happy to have the opportunity to be part of that dialogue and to be able to give back to the community. We’re doing our very best to take everything that we’ve learned about mental health, addiction and homelessness, and combining it with generous donations such as this to fund programs including: Not Myself Today, Peer Support, and our Mobile Addictions Outreach program. We’re also excited to be bringing the Living Life to the Full program to the Grande Prairie area.
Mental illness can affect us all, whether it’s ourselves or our friends and family. That’s why it’s important to keep the conversation going.
