Canadian Mental Health Association is 100 years old this year! CMHA is one of the oldest voluntary organizations in Canada. Every year we help and support over 1.3 million Canadians. This is through the combined efforts of more than 11,000 volunteers and staff across Canada.

Canadian Mental Health Association Alberta Northwest Region, opened 23 years ago, in 1995. Our focus on housing, and we currently offer 6 Programs. We have cold, harsh and long winters and we believe the first step to recovery is a safe, warm place to call home.

There are 87 Branches and Divisions of CMHA across Canada and nearly 5000 staff in over 330 communities. Each CMHA is assigned a region to support, and each region has different needs. There are 100 different programs and services. Every CMHA across Canada follows the same Vision and Mission Statement.
