Willow Place is a safe space for people to come together and make positive life choices. Here, you can build meaningful friendships, live independently, and live a healthier life of wellbeing. Be a part of our positive neighborhood built on strong community values of friendship, tolerance, and respect. We believe in progress and helping others to be their best selves.

Our mission is to help people living with mental health conditions to live independently while we aid and promote healthy, happy life choices.

Composed of 57 recently renovated apartment units, Willow Place currently has 56 residents. We have no vacancies now and there is a waitlist for available housing. All units are equipped with hot plates and small ensuite kitchens, but there is a larger kitchen open 24/7 available to all residents. The kitchen facility is also open to community members with mental health needs who have paid a $10 per month fee for the Collective Kitchen program.

The Hub Resource Center program hosts daily events for residents and independent drop-in community members. Events include free Creative Arts classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm to 3pm, Coffee and Cards every Monday from 1pm to 3pm, Bingo every Friday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm, Collective Kitchen and other special events. Please see our calendar for more details.

At Willow Place, we respect the right of all our tenants to peace and quiet, safety, and security. Our first priority is the wellbeing of our guests, and so the collective rights of all our tenants takes precedence in everything we do. The building is accessible to people with mental health disabilities and we strive to provide support for all individuals, regardless of their unique challenges.

Willow Place is owned by the Canadian Mental Health Association in tandem with the City of Grande Prairie. Through their generous support, we are able to improve the lives of those with mental health needs.
